SMU Web3 Week officially launched today with a vibrant opening day that drew over 200 participants from academia, industry, and regulatory communities.
The full-day program featured discussions across a broad range of Web3 topics, including crypto financial stability, market microstructure, global digital asset trends, and the convergence of AI and Web3 in finance. Sessions also explored the decentralized creator economy, decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) and green low-carbon infrastructure, as well as real-world assets (RWA) and governance in decentralized finance (DeFi).
The diversity of themes and depth of dialogue highlighted the growing maturity of the Web3 ecosystem and underscored its potential as a foundational layer for the next-generation digital economy, enabling deeper integration across finance, technology, art, and sustainability.
